Theory is too often confined to library bookshelves or prestigious exhibitions. The conversations of students are the cries which reverberate in the hollow mausoleum. To Be Decided* is a student-run interdisciplinary journal of theory founded at Acadia University that gives these private discussions a public pulpit. We aim to provide life to students’ voices beyond the classroom.
But there is no point in simply screaming into the void to fill it with noise. Articulate voices must populate it. TBD* aims to be a generous, welcoming and open platform for developing graduate students and young researchers. This is a space for young scholars to create, explore, research, share, and theorize about the world we find ourselves in.
We encourage the submission of works that clearly and originally engage with theory. Book reviews, creative pieces, interviews, and contemporary or topical editorials with theoretical import are also welcome. Our issues explode a theme and then reassemble it in student work.
